Ron Cadman – Reasons To Renovate Your Garden

Here in Alberta, Canada we love to make the best of the summer months because of the fact that the winter is just so cold and very often miserable. It was for this reason that last year, with the help of my wonderful neighbor and gardening expert Ron Cadman, that I decided to renovate my garden.It can be tough making the decision to invest in your garden because there are always rooms in the house which take priority. I bit the bullet however, borrowed some money from a local lender and got to work, or at least Ron did, I was the fraud who bought the stuff and watched him work! I love the finished article and here are some reasons why you should invest in your garden.

Spending Time

As I said the winters can get very bitter here in Alberta and so when the sun does come out everyone wants to strip down to shorts and skirts and head outside. Having a beautiful garden is the perfect place for you to spend time with the family and your friends and once you have renovated your garden you will find yourself using it far more than before. If you live somewhere very hot like in some areas of the USA then this is even more reason to invest in the garden.

Peaceful

Most mornings I wake up and sit in the kitchen chair with a coffee to get my day started yet now I open up the backdoor and sit on my garden chair to start my day. This is a beautiful moment each day for me, we have more animals in the garden because of the additional plants and bird houses which we have and it is a perfect place to pause for thought surrounded by nature.

Value

One of the reasons why I was happy to go to a lender for some money for the garden is because the investment will come back by adding value to the property. Househunters love to buy properties with a beautiful garden and that means that whatever you invest, you can count on getting a percentage of that cash right back in your pocket.

Events

We live in a small community here and very often people will invite you over in the summer for a barbecue or some drinks in their garden, something which we could never do. Since last year however we have been chomping at the bit to invite people over not only to show off our garden, but also to enjoy this beautiful space which we have created with some good friends. I must confess that it is nice when friends and neighbors comment on how nice our garden looks, and we are just happy to be able to invite them over.
