In the meantime, the last heirs of a recently seized dynasty conspire to take back their homeland, which is across the Narrow Sea.

A lot of investment went in the production of this series. The places where the show was shot are gorgeous. One of the best cinematographers were hired to give a feeling of “being there” for the audience. The scenes turned out beautifully and the audience loved it. Band of Brothers

“Band of Brothers” is about the well-known Easy Company, which was established at the time when World War 2 had just ended in 1942. The company was strong powerful and had a huge impact. The Band of Brothers wanted to innovate and change. They descended behind opponent territory during the initial hours of the famous D-Day to support the landings happening at the Utah beach and then they became a part of the movement to liberate Carentan. They were then active again when Operation Market Garden began. They also freed from concentration camps and stepped as the very first in Hitler’s retreat in Berchtesgaden. An exciting story that highlights friendship and the ability of a common man.

The band of brothers became extremely famous in a short span of time due to the plot and storyline. The cast also played a major role in making it a huge success as it had many famous celebrities of that time. The audience was delighted to see a new concept, and a strong plot that is different from typical shows we can watch on television.

True Detective

As the name suggests it is a murder mystery and thriller. The story is set in Louisiana where the State Police Detectives Rust and Martin are hired to re-investigate a homicide case they had apparently solved in 1995. They initially had no clue of why the case was being reinvestigated but they do it regardless. Eventually, through thorough interviews with a number of suspected people, the two detectives are re told the entire incident, which lead to new mysterious findings, and makes then question how they could they have concluded a case which had so many loopholes and had scarred so many people. As the timelines meet again in 2012, all people involved are pulled back into the world they had apparently forgotten years ago.

The storyline is amazing for young as well as older audiences who like to watch murder mystery and thrilling shows. This show has appealed many and hence has made it to the list of most popular shows on HBO. This also has a long cast however, some of the best one includes. Matthew Mc Conaughey, Tory Kittles Woody Harrelson, Michael Potts, and Michelle Monaghan. These actors rose to fame after the show aired on HBO.

Deadwood

Deadwood has received a lot of good reviews from its audience. People loved the storyline, which is setup in the town known as Deadwood located in South Dakota. Subsequent to the Custer massacre, deadwood is an uncontrolled sinkhole of misconduct and fraud. Two disappointed and unpleasant ex-lawman venture into this uncivilized place in hopes of finding a new start for themselves. Both of them eventually find themselves on contradictory poles of the legal and moral fence from Al Swearengen, the owner of a salon, an operator at a hotel, and emergent leader of Deadwood. Their lives entwine with many others, which include the elite and the underprivileged who inhabited Deadwood back in 1876.

The setting, plot, and the dialogue delivery have been the highlight of this show. A lot of hard work was put in directing the show along with the amazing cast and crew. The show was directed by David Milch and some of the famous stars include, Timothy Olyphant, Ian McShane, and Molly Parker among others.

Chernobyl

This TV series is about the infamous incident that took place in Chernobyl in 1986. A massive blast took place in Chernobyl nuclear plant. It is based on the recounts of people who were there at the site of catastrophe, including those who sacrificed their lives to prevent the blast, which would have been worse without their efforts. The real stories from people will give you goosebumps. The cast of actors may not be very famous but the sad reality of the incident will leave you in tears. This show is not meant for the faint hearted.
